First Lady Reaches Out To Prostitutes Urges Them To Earn Clean Money

First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa has reached out to thigh vendors and urged them to leave the world’s oldest profession. She called on the women to stop peddling their bodies and to earn money that is clean through various income-generating projects.

Amai Mnangagwa made the remarks when she met with women plying the world’s oldest profession in meetings held in Mbare, Hatcliffe and Domboshava on Monday. The First Lady emphasized that the women were putting their bodies in jeopardy. She highlighted that they faced the risk of se_xually-transmitted diseases, cervical cancer and violence.

The First Lady was accompanied by several speakers whom she had chosen to help the women. Speaking at one of the meetings, the First Lady said,

“I have come so that we map the way forward vana vangu. As a mother, I want to walk with children who want to work, use their hands and brains. I want you to appreciate that you are important my children. To me saAmai, there is nothing difficult or shameful. We want to come up with something tangible and I have brought many speakers so that we teach each other on certain issues.”

One of the speakers,  Apostle Alice Muridzo told the women,

“I have come here to urge you to go back to school. I am a testimony because I went back to school while in my marriage. There is no limit in education, age is nothing but a number. Amai is touching every corner not leaving anyone behind and why should you lag behind? Let’s use our hands and brains. Our mother is actually creating opportunities for us, let us embrace them.”

The First Lady’s efforts appear to be bearing fruit. Several women who attended her workshops said they were leaving the risky business. They also expressed their gratitude to Amai Mnangagwa for seeking them out and for offering them better alternatives.

Some of the women talked about going back to school while others talked of venturing into projects which include cooking, Chicken rearing, rabbit rearing, mushroom farming, detergent making, sewing and baking.

“I have learnt and am actually emotional why I engaged in sex work when there are vast opportunities out there. Had it not been for Amai, I would not have known this. All these skimpy outfits, I need to burn them and start on a clean page. We are ready to work,”

Another commercial se_x worker said,

“I admit that I bed men in the presence of my child behind the curtain. After this discussion, I have learnt that I am teaching my children wrong things. I am now leaving my wicked ways.”

A third woman said,

“One time I was hired by a man who after using me pushed me out of a moving vehicle and I fell into a bridge along Bulawayo Road where I got injured. One man took me to a house where there were a lot of other men and they gang-raped me without protection. It is by grace that I did not contract diseases.”

“Even under the circumstances, I did not quit because I was seeking survival. However, with the teachings I got here, I am willing to change. I am leaving the streets since I am now a new creation. I cannot continue being used by men” she said.

Acting Harare Mayor Councillor Stewart Mutizwa also said the city would allocate the women factory space and places for home industries that are currently idle.

Truck Accident Lawyer for Serious Injury Claims

ruck Accident Lawyer: How to Protect Your Claim

Truck accidents often cause severe injuries because commercial trucks are much larger and heavier than passenger vehicles. Victims may face hospitalization, surgery, long-term therapy, disability, and major financial losses. A truck accident lawyer can help victims pursue compensation after a crash involving a semi-truck, delivery truck, or 18-wheeler.

Truck accident claims are more complex than normal car accident claims. In many cases, several parties may be responsible. This can include the truck driver, trucking company, maintenance company, cargo loading company, or vehicle manufacturer.

Why Truck Accident Cases Are Complex

Trucking companies often have strong insurance companies and legal teams. They may begin investigating the accident immediately. Important evidence may include driver logs, GPS records, maintenance records, black box data, inspection history, and cargo records.

A commercial truck accident lawyer can request and preserve this evidence before it is lost or destroyed.

Compensation in a Truck Accident Case

Compensation may include medical bills, lost income, loss of future earning ability, pain and suffering, property damage, and long-term care. If the injuries are permanent, the value of the claim may be much higher.

Conclusion

If you were injured in a truck crash, legal help can be important. A truck accident lawyer can investigate the case, identify liable parties, and negotiate with insurance companies.

Military Divorce Lawyer: Special Rules for Service Members and Spouses

Military divorce can be more complicated than a civilian divorce.

Service members and spouses may face special issues involving military retirement, deployment, housing benefits, health coverage, custody, support, and jurisdiction.

A military divorce lawyer helps families understand how military rules and state divorce laws interact.

What Makes Military Divorce Different?

Military divorce may involve:

Active duty service
Deployment
Frequent relocation
Military retirement
BAH and BAS income
TRICARE issues
Survivor Benefit Plan
Parenting during deployment
Servicemembers Civil Relief Act
VA disability benefits
Military pensions
Jurisdiction questions

These issues require careful handling.

Where Should a Military Divorce Be Filed?

Military families may have ties to multiple states.

Possible filing locations may include:

Where the service member is stationed
Where the spouse lives
Where the service member claims legal residence
Where the children live
Where property is located

Jurisdiction can affect custody, support, and property division.

Military Retirement and Divorce

Military retirement can be one of the most valuable marital assets.

Important questions include:

How much of the retirement is marital?
How will it be divided?
Is a military pension division order needed?
Does the 10/10 rule apply for direct payment?
What happens if the service member is not retired yet?
How does disability pay affect division?
Should Survivor Benefit Plan coverage be addressed?

A lawyer should draft retirement language carefully.

Custody and Deployment

Deployment can complicate parenting plans.

A military parenting plan may address:

Temporary custody during deployment
Virtual communication
Make-up parenting time
Travel costs
Notice requirements
Return-from-deployment schedule
Decision-making during absence
Family care plans

Courts generally try to protect the child’s stability while recognizing military obligations.

Child Support and Spousal Support

Military income may include:

Base pay
Basic Allowance for Housing
Basic Allowance for Subsistence
Special pay
Bonuses
Retirement pay
Disability pay

Support calculations may need careful review because military pay has multiple parts.

Health Insurance and Benefits

Divorce may affect access to TRICARE and other benefits.

Some former spouses may qualify under specific military rules, but eligibility depends on marriage length, service overlap, and other factors.

Do not assume benefits continue automatically after divorce.

Servicemembers Civil Relief Act

The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act may provide protections for active duty service members in certain civil cases, including possible delays when military service affects the ability to participate.

This does not make divorce impossible, but it may affect timing.

Why Legal Help Matters

Military divorce mistakes can affect:

Retirement division
Survivor benefits
Custody schedules
Support amounts
Health coverage
Tax issues
Future enforcement
Direct pension payments

A regular divorce lawyer may not understand military-specific rules.

Final Thoughts

A military divorce lawyer can help service members and spouses navigate the unique legal and financial issues involved in military family law.

If your divorce involves deployment, military retirement, TRICARE, BAH, custody across states, or service-related benefits, get legal guidance before signing any agreement.
