Nigel Gwirikwiti Open Letter To Hopewell Chin’ono

Dear Hopewell Chin’ono,

Revolutionary greetings my beloved brother . Firstly, I should admit that tears are flowing from my eyes as I author this missive . What an emotional moment it was , as the satanists  took you away !

Rarely have I met a man given to others as yourself ; honest in every trust and hyphenated with absolute selflessness . Integrity and selflessness are the hallmarks of your character . A man who made a conscious decision to forgo the flamboyant lifestyle in Chisipiti in an endeavor to heal the broken hearts of the “ least of these “.Selflessly you put your precious life in harm’s way to be the whistleblower. The voice of the voiceless . The megaphone for justice and transparency.

Today the satanists have deferred justice by denying you bail . My heart is broken . Be that as it may , I was mystified , encouraged by your bravery , demeanor as they took you away. Without any equivocation, with clarity , you even said “ Journalism has been criminalized .  People must continue to fight against corruption   “. My brother,  you have given us a signal . This depiction herein  ignites my latent desires of not only wanting to be a loyal citizen but also to fight for the survival of the Republic.

Clearly , they have physically arrested you but emotionally , spiritually and psychologically you are as free as a bird ! My brother you make us proud to one of yours . The ball is now in our court !!

I am proud of you my brother for giving us the signal !

A luta Continua!

Daddy Gwiri!!
