Scottland Fans Voitira Mwana Wa Pokello Godo

Mutasa has recently come under heavy criticism on social media, with some netizens questioning his talent and attributing his success to his background.

Critics claim he has only advanced in football due to being the son of popular socialite Pokello Nare.

Despite having had stints in Europe with French club US Torcy in 2018 and Spanish side Ciudad Deportiva del Granada in 2023, many believe Mutasa’s recent signing for Scottland is more about his connections than his ability.

However, Gama took to X, to defend the young forward, insisting he is gifted and will prove his worth once he settles into his new team which comprises of stars such as Khama Billiat and Walter Musona.

When he properly gels into the Scottland FC system of play, he will be devastating. I trust him to succeed,” Gama wrote.

Mutasa’s recent inclusion in Zimbabwe’s COSAFA Championship squad has further sparked debate.

Initially left out, he was later drafted in to replace Dynamos defender Ross Vhusa Ngwenya, whose passport reportedly expired.

Gama, who is now the City of Harare spokesperson, believes the regional tournament could be the perfect stage for Mutasa to showcase his talent.

“The COSAFA tournament will bring out the Nathan I know,” he said.

“I don’t understand the noise about his selection. I’ve known the boy since he was a toddler.

“He trained and played with my son at an academy. I’ve watched him grow. He is good, and will prove critics wrong.”

Gama also urged Mutasa’s family to stand firm and ignore online negativity.

“I encourage his parents to ignore the critics and continue supporting him. Every day, I remind Nathan to stay focused,” he added.

He further encouraged Mutasa to remain mentally strong and concentrate on his football career, drawing comparisons to Zimbabwe Warriors legend Benjani Mwaruwari, who overcame early criticism and went on to play for top European clubs, including Manchester City.

“In football or life in general, people will always criticise. I remember Benjani was once criticised when he was around 19 0r 20 years old, but he overcame that.

“Nathan should focus on his career and eventually, he will overcome everything. He has the potential to rise above the noise and succeed.”

The Rise of Entrepreneurship in the Digital Economy

Entrepreneurship has become one of the most powerful drivers of economic growth and innovation in the digital era. Advances in internet technology, social media, and e-commerce platforms have made it easier for individuals to start businesses and reach global audiences with relatively low startup costs.

Digital entrepreneurs are building businesses in areas such as online retail, content creation, software development, digital marketing, and financial technology. Social media platforms allow entrepreneurs to promote products, connect with customers, and build personal brands more effectively than traditional advertising methods.

One major advantage of digital entrepreneurship is flexibility. Business owners can operate remotely, manage online stores, and collaborate with international clients from virtually anywhere with internet access. Mobile banking and digital payment systems have also simplified financial transactions for small businesses and startups.

However, entrepreneurship also involves significant risks and challenges. Competition in online markets can be intense, and many startups struggle with funding, marketing, and long-term sustainability. Successful entrepreneurs often require strong communication skills, financial planning abilities, and adaptability to changing market trends.

Governments and educational institutions are increasingly supporting entrepreneurship through business development programs, startup funding initiatives, and technology education. Experts believe entrepreneurship will continue playing a major role in economic development, job creation, and technological innovation worldwide.

Medicare Plans for Seniors: What to Know Before You Enroll

Medicare Plans for Seniors: Coverage Options Explained

Medicare can feel overwhelming at first. There are parts, plans, premiums, deadlines, networks, and drug coverage options.

But once you understand the basic structure, comparing Medicare plans becomes much easier.

Most seniors choose between Original Medicare with optional add-ons or a Medicare Advantage plan.

Original Medicare for Seniors

Original Medicare includes Part A and Part B.

Part A helps cover hospital-related care. Part B helps cover doctor visits, outpatient services, preventive care, and medically necessary services.

Many people with Original Medicare also consider:

Part D prescription drug plan
Medicare Supplement Insurance
Dental or vision coverage separately

Medicare Advantage for Seniors

Medicare Advantage plans provide Part A and Part B benefits through private companies approved by Medicare. Medicare says these plans generally include Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Cost Plans, demonstrations/pilots, and PACE among Medicare health plan options.

Many Medicare Advantage plans may include drug coverage and extra benefits.

However, they may also have networks and plan rules.

Medicare Supplement for Seniors

Medicare Supplement Insurance, or Medigap, helps pay some costs not covered by Original Medicare, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

This can be helpful for seniors who want more predictable costs and provider flexibility.

Prescription Drug Coverage

Prescription drug coverage is important even if you do not currently take many medications.

Medicare Part D is optional, but late enrollment can lead to penalties if you go without creditable coverage.

How Seniors Should Compare Medicare Plans

Doctors

Make sure your doctors are accepted.

Ask:

Is my primary doctor covered?
Are my specialists covered?
Is my hospital covered?
Do I need referrals?

Prescriptions

Check each medication.

Ask:

Is the drug covered?
What tier is it?
Is my pharmacy preferred?
Are there restrictions?

Cost

Compare total annual cost, not just monthly premium.

Look at:

Premiums
Deductibles
Copays
Coinsurance
Drug costs
Out-of-pocket maximums
Specialist visits
Hospital costs

Travel

If you travel often, plan flexibility matters.

Original Medicare with Medigap may offer broader provider access, while Medicare Advantage plans may have network limits.

Medicare Plans for Low-Income Seniors

Some seniors may qualify for help with costs.

Extra Help can assist with Medicare drug coverage costs for people with limited income and resources.

Other programs may also help, depending on income, assets, and state rules.

Senior Dental, Vision, and Hearing Coverage

Original Medicare generally does not cover routine dental, vision, and hearing in the same way many private insurance plans do.

Some Medicare Advantage plans may offer these benefits.

Before choosing a plan because of dental or vision benefits, check:

Annual maximum
Covered services
Provider network
Copays
Waiting periods
Frequency limits

Not all dental benefits are equal.

Common Questions Seniors Ask

Is Medicare Free?

No. Many people pay premiums, deductibles, copays, or coinsurance.

Do I Need Part D?

If you do not have other creditable drug coverage, Part D may help avoid future penalties.

Can I Change Plans Later?

Enrollment periods and special rules apply. Do not assume you can switch anytime.

Is Medicare Advantage Better Than Medigap?

Neither is automatically better. It depends on your needs.

Final Thoughts

Medicare plans for seniors should be compared carefully based on doctors, prescriptions, costs, travel, and health needs.

Do not choose based only on ads or monthly premium.

The right Medicare plan should help you access care, manage costs, and feel confident about your coverage.
