GURUVE MURDERS: Court told suspect killed 12 people

A 33-year-old Guruve man accused of a series of violent crimes in Mashonaland Central has appeared in court from a hospital bed, where he was formally remanded in custody as investigations continue.

Anymore Zvitsva, from Vheremu village under Chief Chipuriro in Guruve, faces 12 counts of murder, along with charges of rape and attempted murder.

Prosecutors allege the offences were committed between April 2024 and December 2025 in Guruve and Mvurwi.

According to the State, Zvitsva was arrested on January 3 following a prolonged manhunt that ended in mountainous terrain where he was allegedly hiding to evade police.

An affidavit filed by the CID Homicide Unit links him to multiple attacks targeting victims in their homes, fields and grazing areas.

The court heard that the accused allegedly used snare wire, knives, machetes, spears, poison and shoelaces during the commission of the offences.

Police say several items were recovered at the time of his arrest.

Opposing bail, prosecutors argued that Zvitsva poses a serious flight risk, has no fixed abode and could interfere with witnesses if released.

The court agreed, ordering that he remain in custody pending further proceedings.

The matter was postponed to a later date as investigations continue.

Best Supplements for Joint Pain Relief

Joint pain can make everyday tasks feel harder than they should be. For many people, supplements are one part of a broader plan to support mobility, comfort, and overall joint health.
When looking for joint support supplements, it is important to focus on ingredients that are commonly used for this purpose. Many products include ingredients such as glucosamine, chondroitin, turmeric, collagen, or omega-3s. These are often chosen because people believe they may help support joint function or reduce discomfort.
Not every supplement works the same way for every person. Your age, activity level, diet, and the cause of your joint pain can all affect what may be useful. That is why it helps to choose products based on your personal needs instead of relying on marketing claims alone.
Safety matters too. Some supplements can interact with medications or may not be appropriate for people with certain health conditions. Before starting anything new, it is always wise to review the label carefully and talk with a healthcare professional if you have concerns.
Consistency is also important. Supplements are usually not instant fixes. Many people use them as part of a longer-term routine alongside exercise, weight management, stretching, and other healthy habits that support joint comfort.
Product quality should be part of your decision as well. Look for brands that clearly list ingredients, dosage amounts, and third-party testing when available. A transparent product is usually easier to trust than one that makes vague promises.
The best joint pain supplement is the one that fits your body, is safe to use, and supports a broader routine focused on movement and long-term comfort.

DUI Attorney Cost: How Much Does A DUI Defense Lawyer Charge?

The cost of a DUI attorney depends on location, experience, case complexity, and whether the case goes to trial. A first-offense DUI may cost less than a case involving an accident, injury, high blood alcohol level, refusal to test, or repeat offense.

Some DUI lawyers charge flat fees. Others charge hourly rates. A flat fee may cover basic court appearances, but trial work may cost extra. Always ask what is included before hiring a lawyer.

DUI cases also involve other costs. These may include court fines, license reinstatement fees, alcohol education classes, ignition interlock fees, towing costs, higher insurance premiums, and missed work.

While hiring a lawyer costs money, a DUI conviction can cost much more over time. It can affect job opportunities, professional licenses, car insurance, and driving privileges.

A DUI attorney can review the stop, testing process, police conduct, and evidence. They may identify weaknesses that could reduce penalties or improve the outcome.

Before hiring a lawyer, ask about experience, fees, payment plans, trial costs, and possible defense strategies.

The cheapest lawyer is not always the best choice. Look for skill, honesty, communication, and DUI experience.
