RIP Courage Rutsate college in Harare called Harare Institute of Public Health (HIPH), to be specific.

Please post for me and Hide ID.

I’d like to put the spotlight on a certain college in Harare called Harare Institute of Public Health (HIPH), to be specific.

A tragic incident occurred a week ago, were a female student enrolled at this public college committed suicid€ due to a balance due on her tuition fees.

I have a child who enrolled at the same college in February. Prior to enrollment the college tells you all the requirements and tuition payment terms, etc. If you can't pay the whole tuition at once, you can pay 60% upon enrollment (February), then 20% end March and the final 20% end April. They further assure you that no student will be turned away due to outstanding tuition fees (I was told this in person upon enrolling my child), not knowing that it's just a tactic to get you to enrol with them!

Unfortunately the deceas€d had a 20% balance for the semester due by April. On the 15th of April she and a large number of students were denied access and turned away due to balances. This was on the 15th, meanwhile they have said fees are to be paid by the end of the month.

It seems at that time the parents/guardians could not raise the amount required for her to return to college. Thus leading to the tragic incident where the student decided to €nd her lif€. She was buri€d over the weekend.

This could have been avoided. What are the priorities of this college? Yes, we know that most of these colleges are money-making ventures, but at whose expense? It’s unfortunate that this particular college seems to be more interested in demanding money at the expense of quality education, and charging exorbitant amounts for poor quality student materials.

Such a young promising life cut short because of a money-centered institution!

RIP Courage Rutsate ? ? ?

Structured Settlement vs Lump Sum Payment

Structured Settlement vs Lump Sum Payment

A structured settlement provides payments over time instead of one full payment upfront. This is common in personal injury cases, lawsuits, and insurance settlements.

A lump sum settlement gives the recipient all the money at once. Both options have advantages and disadvantages.

Benefits of Structured Settlements

Structured payments can provide steady income, reduce the risk of spending money too quickly, and help cover future expenses. An annuity settlement may be designed to pay monthly, yearly, or at scheduled times.

Benefits of Lump Sum Payments

A lump sum gives immediate access to funds. This may help pay medical bills, debt, home expenses, or investment opportunities. However, poor money management can create long-term problems.

Selling a Structured Settlement

Some people search for ways to sell structured settlement payments for cash. This can provide money quickly, but the payout may be less than the total future value.

Final Thoughts

Before choosing or selling a settlement payout, consider your long-term financial needs and speak with a qualified financial professional.

Credit Score Improvement: Unlocking Better Financial Opportunities

A strong credit score is essential for accessing better financial opportunities, including lower interest rates on loans and higher approval chances for credit cards. Lenders use credit scores to evaluate risk, making it important for individuals to maintain a healthy financial profile.

Improving a credit score involves consistent habits such as paying bills on time, reducing debt, and monitoring credit reports for errors. Even small changes can lead to significant improvements over time, opening doors to more favorable financial options and long-term savings.
