Missing Chiredzi Govt Primary School ECD learner Steadfast Makondo since yesterday afternoon. Last seen at school on dismissal time was found dead in a bushy area near buildings in Newton.The body of a Chiredzi Government Primary Early Childhood Development (ECD) pupil who went missing from school yesterday was found by a search party today.
It was found in a bushy area in New Town, about 500m from the school.
Masvingo Provincial deputy Police Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Masauso Patinyu was yet to receive the information.
Steadfast Makondo (4) whose mother is a teacher at Hippo Valley High School went missing at 12pm yesterday. Her transporter discovered that she was not at school when he went to pick her up.
Steadfast’s maternal uncle, Vigilance Livombo confirmed the death to Masvingo Mirror.
“We were contacting a search on the other end and when we received information that her body was found on the other side from where we were searching. We are still to get more information on what caused her death,” said Livombo.
