ZRP Did Well Abatwa

Alphas and his accomplices tied his hands with shoelaces removed from his shoes and demanded to know the entrance to Mutangadura’s house.

Kadiwa, who had only started work at the farmhouse that day, told them he did not know.

The suspects, numbering about seven and wearing balaclavas, proceeded to break into the house armed with crowbars, hammers, and pistols

They took Kadiwa’s cellphone and forced him to lie face down in the dining room as six of the intruders entered the house, leaving one to guard him.

In the southern wing of the house, one of the suspects found 14-year-old Ryan Mutangadura, the deceased’s son, asleep in his bedroom.

Meanwhile, other suspects broke into the main bedroom where Joseph Mutangadura and his wife, Patience Dambudzo Mutangadura, were sleeping.

The suspects shot Joseph Mutangadura in the chest, killing him instantly, and began ransacking the bedroom for valuables.

Ryan was brought to join Kadiwa in the dining room before being taken to his parents’ bedroom, where he saw his father lying in a pool of blood while the intruders continued looting.

After the suspects fled the scene, Kadiwa managed to crawl to the bedroom, where Patience, who was unconscious, was revived and untied him.

Ryan then used his mother’s cellphone to contact a family friend, Nyarai Rukundu, who alerted other relatives.

The family rushed to the scene and took the now-deceased Mutangadura, along with Patience and Ryan, to Eden Clinic in Ruwa.

Sadly, Mutangadura was pronounced dead on arrival.

Patience was later transferred to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for further treatment, while Mutangadura’s body was taken to the Parirenyatwa Hospital mortuary.

The court heard that investigations are ongoing as authorities work to apprehend the remaining suspects. One of the suspects in the brutal murder of businessman Joseph Mutangadura has appeared in court.

Ephraim Alphas (37) faced murder and armed robbery charges when he appeared before Harare regional magistrate Mr Musaiona Shotgamne yesterday.

He was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

According to the State, the incident occurred on August 17, 2025, at Mutangadura’s Hideout Farm at around 11:15 pm when Bonus Kadiwa, a security guard on duty, heard dogs barking and went to investigate.

Kadiwa reportedly encountered two men crawling near the gardener’s cottage. As he approached them, he was grabbed from behind and threatened with a pistol.

Asbestos Exposure Lawyer: Who May Qualify for Compensation?

Asbestos exposure has affected workers, veterans, families, and communities for generations. Many people exposed years ago are now facing serious illness, including mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis.

An asbestos exposure lawyer helps determine whether a person may qualify for compensation from companies that made, sold, installed, or used asbestos-containing products.

Asbestos claims can be complex because exposure often happened many years before diagnosis.

Why Asbestos Is Dangerous

Asbestos is dangerous because its tiny fibers can be inhaled or swallowed. Once inside the body, the fibers may remain for years and cause disease.

ATSDR explains that exposure to asbestos may cause breathing problems, lung cancer, or mesothelioma, and these diseases usually appear many years after first exposure.

Who May Have Been Exposed to Asbestos?

People may have been exposed at work, at home, in the military, or in older buildings.

High-risk occupations may include:

Construction workers
Shipyard workers
Navy veterans
Pipefitters
Boilermakers
Electricians
Plumbers
Insulators
Mechanics
Machinists
Power plant workers
Refinery workers
Steel workers
Railroad workers
Demolition workers
Factory workers

Exposure could also happen during home renovation, especially in older properties.

Family Exposure and Take-Home Asbestos

Some family members were exposed without ever working directly with asbestos.

This is often called take-home exposure or secondary exposure.

A worker could bring asbestos fibers home on clothing, boots, hair, tools, or skin. Family members who washed work clothes or hugged the worker after a shift may have been exposed.

The National Cancer Institute recognizes evidence that family members of heavily exposed workers may face increased mesothelioma risk from asbestos fibers brought into the home.

Who May Qualify for an Asbestos Claim?

A person may qualify if they have:

Mesothelioma
Asbestos-related lung cancer
Asbestosis
Pleural plaques with related legal claim
Other asbestos-related disease
A loved one who died from asbestos disease

The strongest claims usually involve a medical diagnosis and a history of asbestos exposure.

What If You Do Not Know Where Exposure Happened?

Many people do not remember exactly where exposure occurred.

That is common.

An asbestos lawyer may investigate:

Job history
Union records
Military records
Social Security work history
Coworker testimony
Jobsite records
Product databases
Company documents
Old invoices
Ship or plant records

Experienced asbestos lawyers often have databases showing which products were used at certain jobsites.

Asbestos Trust Funds

Many asbestos companies filed for bankruptcy and created trust funds to compensate people harmed by asbestos products.

A lawyer may help determine whether trust fund claims are available.

Trust claims may require:

Medical diagnosis
Exposure evidence
Work history
Product identification
Proof of employment
Death certificate for wrongful death claims

Lawsuit vs. Trust Fund Claim

An asbestos case may involve:

Personal injury lawsuit
Wrongful death lawsuit
Asbestos trust fund claims
Veterans benefits, where applicable
Workers’ compensation, in limited situations

More than one path may be available. A lawyer can explain which options apply.

What Compensation May Cover?

Compensation may help with:

Medical treatment
Travel to cancer specialists
Lost income
Pain and suffering
Caregiver costs
Home care
Funeral costs
Loss of companionship
Family financial support

No amount of money can undo a diagnosis, but compensation can help reduce financial pressure.

Final Thoughts

An asbestos exposure lawyer can help determine whether you or your family may qualify for compensation after an asbestos-related diagnosis.

Even if exposure happened 30, 40, or 50 years ago, legal options may still exist.

The key is to act quickly after diagnosis and preserve as much work, military, and medical history as possible.

Best Plumbing Service for Emergency Repairs

When a pipe bursts or a drain backs up, you need a plumbing service you can trust right away. Emergency plumbing problems can cause serious damage fast, so choosing the right company matters.
A good emergency plumber should be available quickly, communicate clearly, and know how to handle urgent repairs safely. The best companies respond fast because they understand that water damage, leaks, and sewer problems can get worse by the minute.
Start by looking for local plumbers with emergency service hours. A company that offers 24/7 support or same-day response is often better prepared for urgent situations than one that only works during normal business hours. In an emergency, speed is just as important as skill.
You should also check whether the plumber is licensed and insured. That gives you more confidence that the work is being done professionally and that you are protected if something goes wrong. Experience with emergency repairs is also a major plus.
Before hiring anyone, ask about pricing. Some plumbing companies charge flat emergency fees, while others bill by the hour or by the type of repair. Understanding the cost upfront can help you avoid surprises when you are already dealing with a stressful situation.
Reviews can also be helpful. Look for comments about response time, professionalism, clean-up, and whether the repair actually solved the problem. A plumber with strong local reviews is often a safer choice than one with little public feedback.
The best plumbing service for emergency repairs is the one that responds fast, solves the problem correctly, and gives you confidence during a stressful time.
